Going to a concert tonight in San Jose and looking for a fun restaurant near the HP Pavilion.  Any Suggestions?

I'd definitely recommend Seven http://www.yelp.com/bi...
It's really close to your destination and one of the best new restaurants near downtown SJ (imho).  Have fun!

What kind of food is Seven?  How is it priced?

Seven is expensive, but decent and trendy by south bay standards

I haven't been to Seven, but it's been highly recommended to me.  There are other places along Santa Clara St. and San Pedro, but it depends on what you're looking for.  Are you looking for a sit down dinner or happy hour scene?

I second the Seven recommendation.  The food is kind of nouveau American or Californian.

Henry's Hi Life has awesome BBQ and steaks and it's reasonably priced. Old Spaghetti Factory is another option if you want to save some cash.

Henry's World Famous

La Pastaia (the spinach salad, the caesar salad, corn soup, white tuscan bean soup, pancetta pizza, roasted chicken, risotto, carpaccio, and dolce di mele are good)

Los Cubanos (the black beans, Spanish garbanzo beans, frijoles colorados, arroz con granadules pigeon rice, lecon asado roast pork, Malta, rabo encendio oxtail, carne asada, fricase de pollo, casca de guyaba, arroz con leche, and coco rayado are good)

71 Saint Peter (the steamed mussels, spinach salad, foie gras, wild mushroom risotto, lamb sirloin, veal osso bucco, and roasted duck are good)

Deep Restaurant

A.P. Stump's

Blake's Steakhouse

Spiedo (not really recommended, but the calamari, insalata de mare, and pesce del giorno are ok)

Poor House Bistro (the poor house po boy, muffaletta sandwich, file gumbo chicken okra, andouille red beans, and blackened chicken tasso pasta are good).

Sorry this is late, but I'm sure you'll be seeing a concert at HP Pavilion again one day.

Anyone else seeing Madonna there in May? :)
