For an evening out, Black Bottle in Belltown seems to be sporting this "type" of situation.  I think I'm too far outta the single scene (though still 30 something).  Wasn't my schtick but others might like it.

There are four reasons why I wouldn't want to "go out" to my own restaurant. 1) I work here 40-50 hours per week...why would I want to come here on my night off??, 2) It's not really appropriate to flirt with my own customers, 3) We're a tableside service restaurant, not a bar where you can mingle around meeting people, and 4) Although it happens all the time, I think having the boss/employees partying at their own establishment is kinda tacky. I don't do it, nor do the people that work for me.

Wow..."How about your own restaurant?" was a question i was asking for you to describe your own establishment..."Where is that?" was a question about location....I was just asking if your place was good place to meet people for me, "though not perhaps for you."..I was not suggesting that you do list 1,2,3,or 4....You could have emailed me personally with a remark like this, which is TACKY....

I've had three other people read this post and all three of them said that they agree that it sounds like you're asking me "How about you going out to your own restaurant?" BECAUSE IT'S POSTED IN RESPONSE TO MY QUESTION.

Connie, as for a more mature meeting spot, what sorts of things are you into? Are you looking for a bar type of scene, or something else?

this is john...we bantered perhaps a week ago regarding a place to meet singles...your response to me was unfavorable...i have been at home writing a script/play for the past week, and have literally forgotten about yelp, as i have been researching...it came across to me that i never replied to your reply...anyways, i wanted to apologize if i offended you, because that was not the intent originally, unlike my secondary public and private response, which was indeed an attempt to "give you back the shit end of the stick" so to say...that is not how I normally am, and would like to extend this electronic hand of apology...i tried to email you personally with this apology today, but you have "blocked" me, so this is my only recourse as this is my first visit on yelp since saturday perhaps?...please accept my apology on the sincerest level....

My oldest son is 30 so I spent some time thinking about what he does for enjoyment, where he goes.  He and his friends don't hang out at bars too often.  But they do go to the tractor once in awhile for the music.  Both he and his wife are very much into volleyball, they play 2 to 4 times a week.  In that crowd there are a number of single, healthy men many of whom are around 30.  You'd hardly be noticed if you were to show up at any of the big competitions.  I can post times for these competitions if you are in the least interested.  

The other things he does are usually with a group of his friends.  Dining out, concerts, skiing, parties.  His friend's include single males.  Next time I'm hanging out with them I'll ask them where they go to hang out.  

I remember visiting Duke's in Bellevue many years ago and there was nary a 20 year old in sight.
